Meet Mittens the Minke Whale!
Mitten's Story
Mittens the Minke Whale is a 20 foot life-size replica of a juvenile Minke Whale spotted off the coast of Maine on August 12, 2022. This curious whale captured our hearts, and we hope we can bring the magic of the experience to children all over New England... many who have never seen a whale! Mittens was named after the white arm bands on common Minkes, often referred to as 'Minke Mittens'.

Classroom Visit Packages
Our 40 minute interactive educational presentations are geared to Pre-K-Grade 5.

Along with meeting Mittens, children will participate in age appropriate hands-on activities to learn about New England sea life and
ocean conservation! Programs are $10 per child (20 child min. per session).
